All are welcome in P.E.T., including parents, caregivers, grandparents, and any interested community member who would like to learn key skills that can help strengthen and improve any relationship.

P.E.T. began in 1962 and was the first national effectiveness program for parents. In this eight-week, 24-hour class, you'll learn how to:

  • Talk to children and others so that they will listen to you
  • Listen to children and others so that they feel genuinely understood
  • Learn a step-by-step method of resolving problems and conflicts with family, friends, and workplace members so that no one loses and the problem stays solved
  • ...and you'll learn a way to assess any situation and know which skill to apply.

You'll learn how to let others "own" their own problems, take ownership when you are the owner of a problem, and find creative results when the problem is owned by multiple people.

The course is limited to 4 - 10 people and we'll engage with real problems in a supportive, small-group setting. The cost for the course is $295, which includes a $50 materials fee for the textbook and workbook.
